The Fiction formed in 2020 during the Covid-19 lockdown. During the restrictions the band, by sharing files online, managed to produce and release 4 singles which were collated in the Revelations EP.

 

Since then, the band has continued to grow, playing on the main stage at Tall Ships in Lerwick, twice at the Orkney Rock Festival, twice at the Shetland Pride event and have headlined both Oinkfest and Bopopalooza.  The band toured Scotland in October 2023 taking in dates in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Fraserburgh.

Their debut album Divination was released in 2024 and is available on Vinyl, CD, Digital Download and on all major streaming platforms.​

 

The Fiction comprises of Keirynn Topp on guitar and vocals, Barrie Scobie on bass, Chris Coles on drums, and Joe Robertson on guitar.
